Dr. Marin Koychev is a specialist in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery and a European specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology. His areas of focus are foot and ankle surgery, joint replacement (endoprosthetics), biological cartilage and joint regeneration, and the treatment of diabetic foot syndrome and soft tissue infections.

Since 2023, he has been the Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery at the German Specialist Center and also operates as a consultant surgeon at Palmaplanas Hospital. Prior to this, he worked at the Schön Klinik Hamburg Eilbek (2022–2023), with a focus on septic bone and soft tissue surgery as well as revision joint replacement. From 2019 to 2022, he worked at the ATOS Klinik Fleetinsel Hamburg, where he received his specialist recognition in 2021.

He began his training in 2015 at the Sana Klinik Pegnitz and continued at Rummelsberg Hospital from 2017, with rotations in endoprosthetics, trauma surgery, sports traumatology, spinal therapy, and foot surgery.

Dr. Koychev is a member of the German Association for Foot and Ankle (D.A.F.) and is continuously involved in continuing education and professional development.
